Installing a variety of metal sheeting & cladding systems

Metal sheeting and cladding systems are innovative roof solutions which blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. These systems utilise a series of interlocking metal panels to provide a durable, weather-resistant roofing solution for a wide variety of structures, including industrial units and commercial buildings. Each panel is precision engineered and offers exceptional strength and longevity, capable of withstanding even the harshest of environmental conditions.

One of the key advantages of metal cladding roof systems is their versatility. The sheeting panels are available in a variety of colours, finishes and profiles, and can be customised to suit the architectural requirements of any project. Additionally, metal cladding roofs are known for their ease of installation, which helps to streamline construction processes and reduce overall project timelines.

Our experienced team has many years’ combined experience of installing metal sheeting and cladding systems which meet all the latest building regulations, so we can advise on the best solution for your project based on your requirements and budget.

Cladding system types – which do you choose?

We install three types of metal cladding roof systems: standing seam, composite panels and twin skin, working with industry-leading manufacturers, including Euroclad Group

Standing Seam

Characterised by raised seams that run along the length of the panel where they join, standing seam systems use concealed fasteners which not only adds strength and rigidity but also enhances its weather resistance by preventing water infiltration.

At a glance:

  • Versatile system: Standing seam cladding blends seamlessly with traditional and modern building types, enabling you to achieve the desired aesthetic whilst ensuring structural integrity and durability.
  • Flexible enough to form curves: The inherent flexibility of the material allows it to be crafted into curves, offering the creative freedom to incorporate unique, flowing lines into the roof and, as a result, can produce visually striking buildings.
  • Excellent whole life costs: Standing seam cladding offers longevity with minimal maintenance, delivering significant cost savings over the installation’s lifespan.
  • Range of thickness, profiles, colours and finishes: Offering aesthetic versatility, the wide range of finishes and profiles along with the clean lines and modern appearance of sheet cladding means we can meet your project’s design brief whilst achieving the functional requirements.

Composite Panels

This prefabricated system consists of two metal skins bonded to an insulating core that form a composite sandwich resulting in a durable, weather-resistant panel.

At a glance:

  • Quick installation: Composite panels are manufactured to precise specifications, enabling them to be quickly assembled on site. The fast installation process of this system can significantly reduce labour costs and accelerate the overall construction schedule.
  • Low maintenance: Known for its durability and resistance to weathering, composite panel cladding requires minimal maintenance. Unlike traditional materials, it doesn’t need regular painting or treatments to maintain its appearance and performance.
  • Lightweight: The inherent lightweight nature of composite panel cladding simplifies the installation process and reduces the structural load on a building. This can lead to cost savings in foundational and structural support materials, as well as offering more flexibility in design and application.
  • Range of thicknesses depending on performance requirements: Composite panels are available in a variety of thicknesses, offering customisation based on thermal insulation, strength and durability specs. This adaptability ensures that any project specific performance criteria can be met.

Twin Skin

Like a composite panel, twin skin systems are assembled on site and consist of two layers of profiled metal sheeting separated by a metal spacer grid. The cavity in between is filled with insulation and a liner sheet to ensure airtightness.

At a glance:

  • Thermally and acoustically efficient: The insulation material between the two layers reduces heat transfer through the building envelope and provides better temperature regulation, resulting in lower heating and cooling costs. The combination of multiple layers also effectively reduces the transmission of external sound through the roof, helping to block out noise such as traffic or machinery.
  • Hardwearing: Twin skin cladding is renowned for its durability, having been designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and temperature fluctuations. Its robust construction ensures that it resists wear and tear over time, maintaining its structural integrity and aesthetic appearance with minimal degradation.
  • Average lifespan 20-25 years: With an average lifespan of more than two decades, twin skin cladding provides long-term reliability whilst retaining its performance.

What our customers have to say...
