Junior Estimator

• Receiving and evaluating enquiries to determine the scope of works and deadlines
• Assisting with the preparation of quotations ensuring that all specifications are included in the cost
• Following up on quotations, liaising with the Business Development Manager
• Analysing technical drawings
• Conduct quantity take-offs and source pricing information for materials and labour.
• Work with the in-house project management CRM to keep projects and client relationships running at all times.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations to clients
• Establishing and expanding on existing relationships with supplier to achieve best value and commercial terms
• Visiting site for measurement / survey purposes
• Keeping up-to-date with product and service information
• Working closely and taking guidance from the Senior Estimator

• Experience of working within the construction industry is preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Working to specific deadlines
• Accurate and methodical
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and operate in a fast environment
• IT literate and confident in using a range of programmes including Microsoft office products – Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• A demonstratable understanding of construction technology
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Package

• Up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (4pm finish on the last Friday of every month)
• 25 days holidays per annum plus bank holidays
